Come celebrate the launch of the Students of Colour Collective’s anti-racist zine PULSE. This year the collective compiled a publication of poems, images, recipes and more, all around the theme of “Place.” PULSE works to centre narratives of IPOC resistance and experience, and to recentre the margins as a creative community project.
On THURSDAY NOVEMBER 08 join us at the Cornerstone Cafe to celebrate the zine, and to create an intentional space to share narratives and of course to pick up a copy of PULSE.
We have invited the contributers to read and present their pieces, additionally, we will be having an IPOC open mic where people are welcomed to share.
We also have the honour of welcoming featured performers Janet Rogers, Jotika, and Anushka.
This is a free event, no one turned away. Cash donations will be taken for an IPOC Publication Grant, as well as coats, socks and other “warm fuzzies,” to donated to VIRCS and Street Outreach.
Everyone is welcome and bus tickets and food will be provided.
